USAID GLAAS Operations and Maintenance

Macfadden currently supports USAID’s agency-wide Global Acquisition and Assistance System (GLAAS), a system used by USAID staff in Washington, D.C. and overseas that automates the procurement process from planning to award closeout.  Macfadden provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 help desk support and system and application administration.  Tasks include troubleshooting, quality assurance, system performance monitoring, release planning and testing support, business applications management, disaster recovery support, information security, and user access management.  Macfadden leverages considerable practical experience with GLAAS, based on our decades of grants management work at USAID.

U.S. Coast Guard Security Center Personnel Security Production Support Services

Macfadden provides maintenance, upgrades, help desk support, user training, and data entry and tracking for Coast Guard Security Center IT systems and databases.  Our staff created the documentation, workflow and hardware at the Security Center for paperless personnel security information submissions and receipt as part of an ongoing eGov initiative. We also recently provided data mining support to develop the Center’s first annual report.  Macfadden’s team played a critical role in the design, deployment and support of the Electronic Fingerprint Transaction System (EFTS), which has significantly reduced costs and time spent on personnel security investigations.

Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service Enterprise Content Management

Macfadden is responsible for the deployment, operation and maintenance of the Integrated Document Management System (IDMS) at the Treasury Financial Management Service.  We engineer IDMS for enterprise deployment, install and maintain IDMS software, and provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 help desk support.  We perform business analyses to identify cost savings and return on investments and develop IDMS user manuals and training material.  Supported by Macfadden, IDMS has achieved significant savings in costs and labor and was recognized as an “Outstanding Government System Implementation.”

FDA Center for Drug Evaluation & Research ADIMS Steady State Operations and Maintenance

Macfadden has supported FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research for more than a decade, providing project management and IT support across systems and developing, operating, maintaining and updating the Automated Drug Information Management System (ADIMS).  We plan operations and maintenance activities, coordinate deployments and releases, manage project schedules, and provide quality assurance.  Tasks include application development, data clean-up, information security assurance, technical writing and configuration management.  Our team is consistently successful in planning and coordinating testing and upgrades so that system availability is uninterrupted.
