Continuing Macfadden’s 17-year history supporting the U.S. Department of State’s (DoS) Office of the Coordinator of U.S. Assistance to Europe and Eurasia, Macfadden recently partnered with BlueForce, and was awarded a contract to continue supporting the EUR/ACE mission to implement and coordinate security and law enforcement, economic, and democracy, and other U.S. government assistance programs in Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia.
As the incumbent contractor, Macfadden outgrew its small business status in 2009 and became ineligible to re-compete for the contract renewal as a prime contractor. After careful consideration, Macfadden embarked on a partnership with BlueForce, a Hampton, VA based small-business with extensive experience in program and acquisition management support, stability operations and capacity building. Combining Macfadden’s decades of International Development and Humanitarian Assistance programs with BlueForce’s expertise enables Macfadden to continue providing support to these regions as they carry on the transition to stabilized democratic governance.
Under this 1-year contract with 4 option years, the BlueForce/Macfadden team will provide program, budget and foreign affairs professional experts to assist in the interagency coordination of U.S. economic, democracy, security and law enforcement, and other USG assistance. In addition, the team will provide information technology support; program and planning and performance measurement; and logistics, planning and facilitation support for program evaluation teams.
