Success Stories
U.S. Department of State
Since 1993, Macfadden has aided the U.S. Department of State’s (DOS) Office of the Coordinator of U.S. Assistance for Europe and Eurasia (EUR/ACE), in assisting governments in transition, managing humanitarian assistance, shaping public policy and supporting economic development. Our intrinsic understanding of foreign policy objectives and regional policy experts support grants administration, security and law enforcement, economic development, program management and provide logistical support to ensure medical equipment, emergency cargo and supplies reach designated countries.
Through our work with the DOS, Macfadden has helped EUR/ACE become a model of efficiency in the U.S. government, with a ten to one ratio of delivered commodity value to operational costs. While helping relieve suffering among underserved populations throughout Eastern Europe and Eurasia, more than $4.6 billion in assistance has been delivered through this program. Macfadden staff regularly travel to the Eurasia region to facilitate the delivery of ongoing humanitarian assistance to the region.
In addition, Macfadden assisted with early efforts to support the development of rule of law and judicial reform for the newly independent state of Kosovo.
U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)
Macfadden provided PMO support to the DOJ through managing efforts to merge systems within the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and the DOJ Justice Consolidated Office Network (JCON) shared service model. A project initially plagued with logistical problems, Macfadden expertly resolved these issues resulting in improved customer satisfaction. As part of this project, Macfadden facilitated collection and reporting of earned value metrics, enhanced the PMO's project lifecycle, established a formal risk management program and mentored existing project managers.

Macfadden continues to support emergency preparedness efforts as a part of USAID's Stamping Out Pandemic and Avian Influenza (STOP AI) team.
