Lebanon Civic Support Initiative, USAID
Macfadden is working on behalf of USAID's Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) as an integral part of the U.S. Government's effort to promote peace and stability in Lebanon as the country continues to face a number of urgent and significant rebuilding challenges. U.S. Department of State
Through our contract with the U.S. Department of State (DOS), Macfadden has provided support to the independent states of the former Soviet Union in Eastern Europe and the Central Asian Republics to transition to stabilized democratic governance. In Kosovo, Macfadden provided a team of senior-level experts shortly after its independence to assist with initiating democracy and governance programs aimed at promoting rule of law, security and law enforcement. Macfadden also provided a senior economist to foster the economic security and well-being of the newly created state.
On behalf of the DOS, Macfadden works with U.S. Embassies, the Congress, U.S. government agencies and State Department policy makers to design and coordinate security and law enforcement assistance programs.
Macfadden provided technical assistance to rule of law and judicial sector programs in Kosovo and provided support to Eastern European countries and Central Asian Republics in strengthening their parliaments, improving transparency, fostering decentralized governance, civil society and democratic governance. Macfadden oversaw a border security evaluation in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and participated in evaluating a Department of Justice-funded justice sector reform program in Kosovo.
