Program Management
A successful Project Management Office (PMO) is a watchful eye, offering a critical view of how projects relate to available resources and business goals. The Macfadden team provides a wide-range of Program/Project Management Office (PMO) support services, ranging from institutional and operational support services to consulting and mentoring.

Whether supporting an IT project, or any other project, Macfadden's staff are experts at providing the critical project and program management support government agencies require to fulfill their missions. The implementation of a PMO is often driven by an enterprise effort to improve project management capabilities. We apply the precepts of many standard best practices and process standards, including CMMI, ISO 9000/2001, to ultimately enable enterprise-wide process improvement.

We apply key metrics to measure business value across a variety of project office functions which may include project management, program integration, studies, and analyses and reports. We utilize communication and collaboration tools such as Microsoft® Project™ and Microsoft SharePoint™ Portal Server to ensure greater sharing of information. Ultimately, we will work with the customer to evolve the PMO to address higher-level issues such as strategic planning, governance and portfolio management.

We view PMO support at three levels, identifiable by the types of planning and implementation activities associated with each:
  • Project Office Support
  • Program Office Support
  • Enterprise Level Support
Macfadden’s proven approach to Project Management Office planning, implementation, and providing support services is well documented. Macfadden provides comprehensive solutions that include professional consulting, provisioning and support staff.

Macfadden has successfully delivered a variety of management solutions in the federal government and commercial markets including: U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Department of State (DoS), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), U.S. Peace Corps, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and Department of Transportation (DOT).
