GSA Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70

GSA Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70

The Information Technology (IT) Schedule, schedule number 70, was established by GSA to provide government agencies with solutions for their various information technology requirements and allow those agencies to procure the products and services they need. This multiple award schedule grants agencies direct access to the commercial experts who can thoroughly address the needs of the government IT community through twelve Special Item Numbers (SINs). This Schedule is currently open for use by federal, state, and local government agencies. State and local government agencies are able to purchase off of GSA's IT Schedule 70 by way of Cooperative Purchasing. Under GSA's IT Schedule 70 Contract, government agencies can purchase information technology services or products from Macfadden. Each year the federal government purchases over $10 billion in ADP and IT products and services, with half of those purchases made through GSA Schedules. Purchasing services through the GSA Schedule can save millions of dollars a year in procurement costs.

Contract Advantages
Under the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedules program, GSA enters into contracts with commercial firms such as Macfadden to provide supplies and services at stated prices for given periods of time. Macfadden has a multiple-award Schedule 70 (Information Technology) contract with GSA to provide a broad range of Automated Data Processing (ADP) products and services. With a GSA Schedule, the government has already negotiated contract prices and terms and conditions, so the lead time required to obtain services and products is dramatically reduced.
