The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) IT Forward initiative is a 5-year agency-wide BPA contract with a ceiling value of $900 million, part of an ambitious initiative to change the way USAID conducts business through partnership creation, an emphasis on innovation, and a focus on results. IT FORWARD’s primary objectives are to leverage IT systems and innovation to move the current IT environment toward a more cost-effective, secure, mobile computing environment; increase data access; and improve communications. As USAID relies heavily on the Agency’s IT systems and infra-structure to serve national interests and equitably distribute humanitarian assistance, this contract plays a vital role in enabling USAID HQ staff and field personnel to complete the USAID mission. Macfadden is a subcontractor to IBM on this contract.
