Macfadden’s corporate office uses only recycled products and strictly enforces recycling of all appropriate materials. Currently, Macfadden is moving towards a paperless environment and in the process of archiving all files into electronic form to reduce paper use.

Macfadden encourages the use of public transportation with flexible public transportation spending accounts for all of our employees. Macfadden’s headquarters, USAID office, and most of our clients’ offices are located within walking distance of the Washington, DC metro rail. This reduces fuel use, consumption, and pollution.

We hope that our environmentally conscious business practices will help achieve our goal of environmental preservation for the generations to come.

Macfadden announced today that Don L. Rondeau has joined the company in the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Critical Infrastructure Programs. In his role, Mr. Rondeau will focus on developing new business opportunities in the homeland security arena focusing on transportation safety, asset protection, contingency planning and conflict mitigation.

Since 1993, Macfadden has aided the Office of the Coordinator of U.S. Assistance for Europe and Eurasia (EUR/ACE), U.S. Department of State in assisting governments in transition, managing humanitarian assistance and shaping public policy for governments in transition and enabling economic development. Our intrinsic knowledge and understanding of foreign policy and knowledgeable regional policy experts support grants administration, security and law enforcement, economic development, program management and logistical support to ensure medical equipment, emergency cargo and supplies reach designated countries.

Through our work with the DOS, Macfadden has helped EUR/ACE become a model of efficiency in the U.S. government, with a ten to one ratio of delivered commodity value to operational costs. While helping relieve suffering in isolated populations throughout Eurasia, more than $162 million in assistance has been delivered through this program.
