U.S. Department of State
Macfadden has provided professional support services to the U.S. Department of State since 1993. Working primarily for the Office of Assistance to Europe and Eurasia (EUR/ACE) and its predecessor offices, our staff helped develop, direct and administer economic, democracy, rule of law, and security and law enforcement assistance programs in the countries of the former Soviet Union (countries located in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus region, and Central Asia). Subjects of specific assistance programs ran the gamut from support for rule of law in post-conflict settings; law enforcement and security; application of the rule of law to promote human rights and combat gender-based violence; parliamentary and electoral assistance to support decentralized governance and increased participation of civil society organizations; as well as humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
