Macfadden Completes Acquisition of Systems Integration Group, Inc. (SIG)
Macfadden and Associates, Inc. (Macfadden) and Systems Integration Group, Inc. (SIG) announced today that both companies have finalized an agreement under which Macfadden, an employee-owned company, has acquired SIG, a leading provider of professional, engineering and information support services to the federal and commercial markets.

David Binns Named Chief Operating Officer at Macfadden
Macfadden announced today the appointment of David Binns to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer at Macfadden. The creation of the position speaks to the recent growth of Macfadden and the company’s desire to continue to achieve its strategic goals. A proven leader with more than 20 years providing corporations with strategic direction, Mr. Binns previously served on Macfadden’s Board of Directors and Strategic Advisory Group, and was a key advisor in the company’s move to employee-ownership throughout 2007.

Macfadden Awarded GSA Alliant Small Business Contract as Partner in A3IS, LLC Joint Venture
Macfadden announced today that it has been awarded GSA Alliant Small Business Contract in partnership with A3IS, LLC joint venture. In 2006 Macfadden joined forces with Seidcon, Bay State Computers and Applied Solutions to form a small business joint venture, Alliant Across America Information Services (A3IS).

Since 1993, Macfadden has aided the Office of the Coordinator of U.S. Assistance for Europe and Eurasia (EUR/ACE), U.S. Department of State in assisting governments in transition, managing humanitarian assistance and shaping public policy for governments in transition and enabling economic development. Our intrinsic knowledge and understanding of foreign policy and knowledgeable regional policy experts support grants administration, security and law enforcement, economic development, program management and logistical support to ensure medical equipment, emergency cargo and supplies reach designated countries.
Through our work with the DOS, Macfadden has helped EUR/ACE become a model of efficiency in the U.S. government, with a ten to one ratio of delivered commodity value to operational costs. While helping relieve suffering in isolated populations throughout Eurasia, more than $162 million in assistance has been delivered through this program.
